In his postgame interview on Monday, Warriors a star Stephen Curry discussed Yaksel Landeborghot start of the season, trans Dan Dempster of NBC Sports Bay Area. After 31 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in Monday’s win at Denver, the former Michigan star, who was selected with the 11th overall pick in this year’s draft, had 26 points and nine rebounds on Wednesday at Minnesota.
“His peace. I mean, he just came off the NCAA Championships” Curry replied when asked what makes Landeborg special. “He just has a calmness, a feeling. His size on the court; he is a matching problem. He is never in a hurry and starts to see the pictures clearly. Distribution, aggressiveness, going to the free throw line, offensive rebounds.
“Kind of a complete package. So we want him to continue to play aggressively.”
Curry also played a key role in Golden State’s first two wins of the season. He scored 24 points without a miss on Monday and had a season-high 44 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists on Wednesday.
