Norway i Portugal will find themselves in a potentially crucial UEFA Nations League clash on Sunday night after both sides kicked off their campaigns with wins.

Norway came from behind to beat Denmark 3-2 in their Group 4 A-League opener, while Portugal recorded a 1-0 win over Wales to move into second place.

Norway made an impressive start to their first Nations League campaign in League A, recovering from an early deficit to defeat Denmark 3-2 on Thursday.

Erling Haaland was the difference for Stale Solbakken’s side, scoring twice after Norway had gone 2-0 down in the opening 18 minutes.

Norway have won 15 of their 25 Nations League games and suffered just six defeats, but Portugal represent a significant step up from the opposition.

The two nations have met 11 times previously, with Portugal winning eight, Norway winning once and the other two encounters ending in draws.

Norway will be without David Wolfe, who is suspended after being sent off during the win over Denmark.

Haaland will once again lead the attack after taking his international tally to 64 goals in 56 appearances with his brace against Denmark.

Oscar Bobb impressed in the first game and is expected to keep his place, although Andreas Schjelderup could replace Antonio Nusa in the attacking positions.

For Portugal, Jorge Jesús could make a change in midfield, with Joao Neves expected to come into the wing in place of Ruben Neves.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not score against Wales but is expected to retain his place in the starting XI as he looks to add to his record 146 international goals.

Joao Cancelo started at right-back against Wales and should keep his place, while Renato Veiga is expected to continue alongside Ruben Dias in central defence.
