In the main event of TNA Impact, The Nemeth retained the TNA World Tag Team Championship over The Hardys.
Leon Slater was on commentary for the fight ahead of his world title challenge at Bound for Glory this weekend. The Hardys were challenging the Nemeths a Lockdown rematch in Augustwhere the TNA World Champion and his brother dethroned the five-time World Tag Team Champions in a Steel Cage match. And the game was on as the rivals came out to score a point, putting both Nick and Ryan to the sword in the opening stages.
They came close to winning the titles shortly after, with Jeff Hardy splashing the world champion and making a cover that only Ryan broke up. Ryan then released Hardy, allowing his brother to appear to complete the danger zone. But Hardy kicked out.
Matt Hardy returned to the bay to save his brother with a Twist of Fate for two, after which Jeff went to the top rope for a Swanton Bomb. Lights began to flash and a distorted voice sounded, Syx distracting Jeff for a moment before he moved on. That allowed Nick to get his knees up and spin Jeff around for the winning shot.
After the match, the lights went out again, returning to find that someone had attacked Slater and Nick Nemeth looking guilty before going on vacation. Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw came to the ring and defeated the Hardys as the show came to a close.
