The NFL returns for Week 7 and the playoff race is slowly starting to heat up. We have three undefeated teams in six weeks leading the AFC and the Vikings and 49ers sitting atop the NFC. The Bills are behind the Chiefs and the rest of the AFC is pretty tight, with six teams sitting at 4-2. The NFC consists of two losing teams and about 2-4 teams still in the running.
Week 7 opens with an entertaining contest against the Patriots-Bears at Soldier Field. Thursday night football. Both teams sit at 4-2, and with Caleb Williams back in the lineup, this could be a tough shootout.
Sunday brings a key AFC North matchup between the 3-2 Bengals and 4-2 Ravens, while the 3-2-1 Giants travel to face the 2-4 Texans, with both teams needing to win to make the playoffs. Sunday ends with the 3-3 Seahawks hosting the 5-0 Chiefs and the week ends with a Cowboys-Eagles matchup of two teams struggling to find positives this season.
I’m back for another week after finally getting over .500 for the year. Going into week 6 I was 500 and managed an 8-6 performance. I was 3-2 in high confidence polls, 4-2 in medium polls, and 1-2 in low confidence polls. It’s a step in the right direction.
Just to remind you that I pick games with winners and losers, but I also offer a level of confidence. I pick the winner of each game and rank the picks based on their confidence level – high, medium, low and no. A game with three asterisks (***) indicates a game in which I will select the bet to win. Whether or not you have to assign confidence points, this will help you know where I stand with the polls. And within each group, I ordered them by confidence level.
And also, I’m a 49ers fan, so you have to take that pick every week with a grain of salt.
