NFL September ends this weekend as fall officially begins. The week opens with the Packers hosting the Falcons. Thursday night football And the Bears will close by hosting the Eagles Monday night football. We don’t have any matchups for undefeated teams, but we do have a matchup for undefeated teams when the Colts host the Texans.
Houston has been one of the more disappointing teams through two weeks. They were viewed as a playoff contender, but after strong home games against the Bills and Bengals, it’s not entirely shocking to see them start 0-2. They really want to win in Indianapolis.
On the positive end of things, the Raiders are a surprising 2-0 while the Saints are 1-1. Those two teams squared off in New Orleans in an interconference matchup with a little more at stake than most expected.
My weekly picks last week were not good for me. I finished 8-8 overall, including 2-2 in my most confident picks in losses to the Bucs and Ravens. I’m back with more choices as I try and get on the road before things get out of hand.
Just to remind you that I pick games with winners and losers, but I also offer a level of confidence. I pick the winner of each game and rank the picks based on their confidence level – high, medium, low and no. A game with three asterisks (***) indicates a game in which I will select the bet to win. Whether or not you have to assign confidence points, this will help you know where I stand with the polls. And within each group, I ordered them by confidence level.
