New details have emerged Following the tragic death of AEW star PACreal name: Benjamin Satterly, 40, Monday. News of Satterlee’s death broke Sunday night, just 24 hours after his AEW All Out 2026 match against national champion Andrade El Idolo. AEW: confirmed the news of his death on the social network.
The New York Post reportsSatterlee, who claimed to have received a recording of the incident, passed out in her car in the parking lot of a restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois around 4pm on Sunday. Authorities claimed in the recording, cited by The Post, that they were unable to confirm the AEW star was breathing when they arrived after 911 calls from witnesses.
The Post reports that another official could be heard on the tape confirming that Satterley was dead before they arrived. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Satterlee was pronounced dead at 4:08 p.m. His cause of death is pending an autopsy. According to another Daily Herald report. A spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office maintains that “there were no indications of foul play or trauma, and Satterlee’s death did not appear to be suspicious.”
Satterlee competed in a loss to Andrade in the opening match of AEW All Out Saturday in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He reappeared at the end of the event to assist Death Riders stablemate John Moxley in his AEW World Championship match against Will Osprey, where he was once again met by Andrade when he attempted to interfere on Moxley’s behalf.
Fans were stunned when AEW’s official X (formerly Twitter) page broke the news of his death at 9:06 PM EST Sunday night following the pay-per-view. Satterley was the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion as well as a two-time AEW World Triathlon Champion. In WWE, where he appeared as Neville, he held the NXT Championship and was also a two-time Cruiserweight Champion.
