During the main event of today’s show “TNA Influence” Two-time TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali retained his title against former champions Jason Hotch and Trey Miguel in a triple threat match.
Hotch jumped the champion seconds after the bell rang. Immediately after that attack, Ali faced another round of blows. This time, Hotch and Miguel joined forces in a blow to blow. Although she was distracted after the news that Mila Moore and John Skyler were leaving The Order 4 minutes into her match, Ali touched on that disappointment by wiping out both men with a picture-perfect dive on the outside of the ring.
Returning from the evening’s final commercial break, all three men were in the high-rise. Hotch sent both Ali and Miguel crashing into a double Spanish flying plane. Ali recovers with a stack on Hotch. Thinking he had it in the bag at that point, Hotch jumped out of the 2.9 shot attempt. Miguel sends Hotch and Ali swinging back-to-back Canadian Destroyers, followed by a lightning fast Meteora on Ali for a two count. Hotch returned to the ring with a double DDT. Tasha Stills regained the International Championship for Ali to use, only to be caught on a double suplex from Hotch. Ali ended up using his belt on Miguel to secure the win.
Ali regained the International Championship Blocking Against Hotch in a barbaric steel cage match in Ali’s hometown of Chicago. Ali and Hotch were once former allies, as Hotch once followed Ali’s orders in his 4th class stable. Tonight was Ali’s first title defense since winning it last month.
