Just when the pieces started to fit into that puzzle Tessa Blanchard, CMLL (World Wrestling Federation) and MLW, A new twist in history has just unfolded.
By: Fighting Select and its affiliate Fightful Espanol, were being interviewed by CMLL representatives when Blanchard announced the signing with MLW on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast. TMZ’s sources confirmed that information to Fightful.
Earlier this month, the “Undeniable Diamond” and third-generation pro wrestler announced in an interview with TMZ that he is set to appear at MLW Fightland as part of the September 12 tapings in Charleston, South Carolina. CMLL, where Blanchard works as a full-time talent, removed him from those tapings, stating that he was only supposed to appear there once, as opposed to becoming a long-term contracted feature, which seemed to be what his interview implied. MLW later dropped Blanchard from its promotion.
All this comes just months later Blanchard left TNA. The former talent returned to his old TNA stomping grounds in 2024. While signing a three-year contract, Blanchard asked to be released from TNA last June after the company forced him to choose between staying with them or working in CMLL, where he had been a popular star for the past few years. Blanchard decided to keep his allegiance with CMLL and left TNA soon after. Both TNA and Blanchard are heartbroken by his decision.
Known as A polarizing figure In the industry, Blanchard has always let her resilience speak for her, as she is the only woman in TNA history to ever retain her world championship.
