Major League Baseball has officially relocated the regular-season finale between the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs! Due to a massive nor’easter bringing heavy rain and wind to Boston, Sunday’s game has been moved from Fenway Park to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
This marks a rare neutral-site game and the first time MLB has relocated a game for weather since Hurricane Irma in 2017. While the Red Sox have already clinched a Wild Card series matchup against the New York Yankees, the Cubs are heading down to Florida needing a crucial win to lock down the fifth seed in the National League.
