Chaos ensued Mike Tyson almost all his life.
Now the former undisputed heavyweight champion is getting ready to take it all on TYSONa new four-part docuseries premiering October 13, 2026 exclusively on Netflix.
Netflix released the first trailer for the highly anticipated docuseries on Thursday. (Sept. 17), offering an emotional glimpse into Tyson’s tumultuous journey from a struggling childhood in Brooklyn to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history — and everything that went down afterward.
“This is my dark side,” Tyson says in the trailer. “That’s what I became. Addicted to chaos.”
When the producer pushes Tyson to explain why, the 60-year-old boxing legend becomes uncomfortable.
“You’re making it difficult for me now,” Tyson replies.
The director Floyd Russwho used to work Unsaid: Malice in the Palace and America’s Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombingthe four-hour series promises an unfiltered analysis of Tyson’s spectacular rise, violent decline and complex transformation.
Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history when he demolished Trevor Berbick in 1986 when he was only 20 years old. He eventually unified the division and emerged as one of the most feared athletes on the planet.
However, Tyson’s life outside the ring was even more explosive.
Her story includes rape convictions and prison terms, substance abuse, financial ruin, and countless public controversies. In the ring, Tyson’s career was permanently marred by his infamous 1997 disqualification for biting a Evander Holyfield’s ear.
The documentary also features interviews with Tyson’s inner circle, including his wife, Male “Kiki” Spicerand his son, Miguel Tysonwho discuss the damaged man behind the formidable public persona.
Tyson’s life has already been explored through books, films and TV projects, but his willingness to deal with his darkest moments – along with access to his family and closest confidantes – may TYSON the most personal version yet.
All four episodes will premiere on Netflix on October 13.
