Mighty Khamzat hits with such power and ferocity he actually injured his hands and needs time off from UFC

Former UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev needs time off from competition as his hands continue to crumble from abuse of heavy punches.

“I want to fight,” Chimaev said MMA fight. “That’s why I want to fight. They’re not crazy big injuries where you have to stay out of sparring. It’s just my hands. I hit hard, so I always have problems with my hands and I need to fix them.”

“It won’t take long, but people think Khamza is not going to fight,” Chimaev (15-1) added. “If I stop, it takes a month or two. I’m still doing recovery, training.”
