UFC 335, the final PLE of the 2026 campaign, continues to be filled with interesting fights. The the head and co-head at this event are fascinatingwhere Charles Oliveira meets Diego Lopes for the BMF belt and Sergei Pavlovich tries to retire Alex Pereira.
According to Marcel Dorff, Maycee Barber and Carli Judice will also tangle on December 12th.
This is an interesting, potentially guard-changing fight in the women’s flyweight division. And it could be a sign that the UFC thinks Barber has gone “as far as he can,” in the words of Din Thomas.
Barber was somewhat of a UFC darling when he arrived on the scene in 2018 and was tipped to be a future title contender despite being just 20 years old at the time. Since then, he has managed a 10-3 record. However, he has also been a classic case of someone taking one step forward, two steps back.
He loss to Roxanne Modaffer -850 as favorite, his long break over a a mysterious diseasehim does not show The Erin Blanchfield fight at APEX and an epic first round KO loss to Grasso have made his rise to title contender status very questionable.
And now, at the age of 28, he faces someone a little younger, five spots below him, in the winning streak. It seems like it’s a make or break moment for Maycee.
Judice must be relishing the opportunity to jump into the top ten hairdresser. He is running full speed now. After two split decisions to start his UFC career, he has won four in a row and displayed some of the sharpest striking in the division. He has three finishes in that run, including a head blow, knee to liver and a body blow.
Barber vs. Judice wasn’t the only UFC 335 fight announced yesterday. We also learned that Junior Tafa will be fighting Quentin Pasley. And that’s all you need to know about it.
