Degli has built a reputation as one of Brazil’s most dangerous flyweight prospects. Against Moran, Degli showed that his submission game is as strong as his striking. The win was enough to convince the UFC CEO Dana White to sign a contract with him.
Degli (15-3) talked about his grandmother in his post-fight interview.
“I lost my grandmother at the beginning of the year and I wish she was here to see where her grandson got to. We made it,” said Degli. “I’m sure he’d be really proud. I’ll make him really proud.”
He also touched on the support he has received from his wife.
“He is the most priceless thing I have in my life,” Degli said. “He’s there for me no matter what.”
Degli went 2-3 in his pro career before posting 13 wins.
