Manchester United Striker Benjamin Sesko will undergo tests this week after being withdrawn from Slovenia’s squad for their opener UEFA Nations League accessories
Sesko scored 12 goals last season after joining from RB Leipzig, helping United finish third in the Premier League.
But he has struggled for fitness to start the 2026-27 campaign, in which he has scored twice so far.
Sesko failed Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Fulham after re-aggravating a shin injury in their EFL Cup defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.
And he won’t play for his country as he faces Scotland twice along with games against North Macedonia and Switzerland.
A statement from United said: “Benjamin will undergo tests this week before defining his individual recovery plan.”
United’s next game is on October 10, when the Premier League returns after a long international break. The Red Devils host winless Tottenham at Old Trafford, with United manager Michael Carrick and Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi likely to go into the game under substantial pressure after poor starts.
