Preview Man City vs Brighton Premier League
He went in the first round citybut only fair. After seeing off Brighton on penalties in the fourth round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday, Enzo Maresca’s side face the Seagulls again at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, this time with Premier League points on the line and their big names in the side.
The cup tie it was a rollercoaster. City’s young side fell behind twice, first with a goal from Malick Yalcouye in the 30th minute and then with a goal from Georginio Rutter just after the break.

Mateo Kovacic equalized with a 25-metre strike before the break and Vitor Reis scored his first goal for the club to make it 2-2.
Geronimo Rulli was then the shootout hero, saving from Yasin Ayari and Lewis Dunk as City won 4-3 on penalties in front of a domestic Cup record 55,345 home crowd.
Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa ended City’s perfect start Premier League and it was their second defeat in four games in all competitions. He has conceded 10 goals in his last five games.
The good news for Maresca is that Erling Haaland, Elliot Anderson, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol were given time off and missed the tie, so they should be fresh.
Brighton showed again how dangerous they can be. Fabian Hurzeler’s side started the day as the Premier League’s top scorers by three goals, although they are now on a three-match winless run, drawing at Jablonec in the Conference League and losing 2-0 at Liverpool before the 90-minute stalemate at City.
Recent history suggests this will not be easy for City. They have now failed to win any of their last five games against Brighton in all competitions, although Albion have not kept a clean sheet in their last 19 meetings with City.

Man City vs Brighton Prediction
Manchester City
2-1
Brighton
Brighton want revenge and believe they have their work cut out for them after having six of nine tries between the teams on Wednesday, but their form has dipped slightly since their spectacular start and a strengthened City may be able to assert themselves in the same way Liverpool did against the Seagulls last Sunday.
