After spending the last year of his career in independent circuit wrestlingShayna Basler appeared in TNA at Bound for Glory a few weeks ago. reuniting with former Pure Fusion Collective teammate Zoey Serrano to win the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. It’s the type of win that would strongly signal that Basler was signed to TNA full-time, and a few weeks later, Basler and TNA confirmed that was the case. In an interview with Denise Salcedo that Salcedo would later post in part X on Thursday morningBasler announced that he had signed with TNA. The organization would later confirm the news in a tweet of its own about an hour later.

Speaking about his signing with Salcedo, Bassler revealed that his motivations for joining TNA had to do with the promotion’s roster and his feeling that he could help add realism to TNA through his own character.
“I think right now when you look at the talent in TNA, there’s no denying that it’s definitely the most talented wrestling locker room in the world right now,” Basler said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to stand out. I think what I want my legacy to be is that everything about me is real… I don’t even wear false eyelashes, I don’t put on a suit anymore to get in the ring and beat you up.
“Everything I do is just who I am. If I can bring reality and realism, if I can be in the discussion and make TNA one of the first organizations to rise when people go; “Yeah, but whose most legit locker room?” If I’m there, if I can bring that to the discussion, that’s the legacy I want to leave, wherever I am, that’s where reality lives.”
