Barcelona survived a late scare to claim a fifth straight win LaLiga as Lamine Yamal scored twice in a 4-2 win at levant.
Having scored five goals in each of their last two games, wins over Levante city rivals Valencia and Feyenoord in their Champions League opener, Barca needed just five minutes to start another procession.
Teenager Xavi Espart opened the scoring by firing in from the edge of the area, with Barca’s lead then doubled when Yamal crashed into an empty net after excellent work from Raphinha.
Yamal seemingly ended the game as a game with an emphatic penalty three minutes into the second half.
But Levante finished strongly and Ivan Romero pounced on an Espart error to reduce the deficit, before a fine individual goal from Roger Brugue gave them hope of a remarkable late comeback.
However, any thoughts of Levante grabbing a point were put to bed when Karim Adeyemi answered Brugue’s goal with a solo effort to wrap up the points.
Barcelona survives the Levante scare
Espart opened their Barcelona account by finding the bottom left corner after Raphinha had put the ball into his path, and the Brazilian was the provider as the visitors doubled their lead.
He controlled the ball brilliantly after Fermín López’s long pass was deflected into the air, with the Barcelona captain rounding the keeper and pulling back for Yamal to tap in a simple finish.
Espart made an excellent defense to prevent Víctor García hitting a ball at the back post and halving Barça’s advantage, which was extended shortly after the second half restarted.

Aissa Mandi was booked for handling in the box as she went to challenge Yamal, who powerfully converted from 12 yards to find the top left corner.
Raphinha saw an effort narrowly deflected as the chance to make it 4-0 went begging, before Andreas Christensen denied Levante a way back into the game when he cleared off Romero’s line.
But Romero made no mistake when Espart carelessly put a loose pass into his path, the striker rounded Joan Garcia and headed home.
Hopes that this goal could be the start of something special for Levante grew when Brugue scored the second in superb fashion. The skipper beat Marc Bernal down the left and into the box, before showing quick reactions to power home the rebound after Garcia repelled his initial effort.
The local fans received the announcement of six added minutes with great shouts of approval, but it was Barcelona who took advantage of the opportunity to add to the scoreboard.
Adeyemi took the ball down the left flank and dodged three Levante defenders in a superb run, which he ended up calmly scoring his third goal for Barcelona and his second this week.
