Kofi and Austin Creed are now fully integrated into the All Elite Wrestling roster following their debut as the New Level at AEW All In London 2026but while their debut should have been a surprise, it was anything but.
Rumors and reports have been swirling for months the men formerly known as The New Day in WWE would make their way to AEW just in case. Both Coffey and Creed recently sat down with Renee Paquette for an episode.AEW up close“where Kofi admitted that despite trying to stay incognito in the days leading up to All In London, the debut was wrestling’s worst kept secret.
“Going forward 24 or 48 hours was just wild because a lot of people don’t realize, even though I feel like it was the worst kept secret, right.” Coffey said, revealing that even taking a long flight for the first time in months felt strange. “I went to the airport to pick up my rental car to go upstate New York and then I realized I hadn’t been to the airport and being in an airport is unfamiliar. It’s a place I haven’t been in so long, so it was strange.”
The two men stayed in a hotel 45 minutes from the airport and separate from the rest of the AEW roster to avoid suspicion, but even that didn’t help Coffey and Creed stay hidden. “I also had my jacket on, I expect I was wearing a lime green Tiffany green suit, full jumpsuit, not incognito, but I had my hat on. I’m like “What’s going on?” However, we didn’t see anyone.”
Creed concluded by saying that they both went to Wembley Stadium all in London the day before to sign their contracts and meet Tony Khan for the first time, with Creed also noting that it was nice to have his family there too.
