AEW’s Kevin Knight has improved significantly in the year and a half since signing with the promotion, and he opened up about the best part of working for Tony Khan’s promotion.
Former TNT Champion Knight spoke “blackamericaweb:“The surreal feeling of sharing the locker room and the ring with the legends he idolized. He’s amazed that those same stars he sought out are now giving him feedback on his work in the ring.
“Honestly, the part that feels so surreal is right here, right now. Especially when I first got to AEW, just working with people that I grew up idolizing, growing up watching, like Cope and Cage, like, I get to work backstage with Scotty 2 Hotty when I was in TNA and I learned that I worked with Hardy, like Matty. it’s like a dream come true, and then these people start critiquing my work and saying they’re fans of my work, and I’m like eight years old over the moon doing what I’m doing right now.
Knight, after several years in NJPW, joined AEW permanently this past March after a few appearances in 2022. In his short time in the promotion, he made an impact and gradually grew, first winning the Trios Championship, wowing audiences at JetSpeed and earlier this year. winning the TNT Championship.
After parting ways with JetSpeed, his “Speedball” Mike Bailey, he became a member of the ever-growing “Don Callis Family” of villains. But he recently teased a possible return with his former tag team Bayleyleaving the door open for another chapter in his AEW run.
