Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has always been wore his inspirations on his sleeveand it was on full display at AEW All in London 2026 Omega’s entrance featured a narration by Kenta Miyake, the voice actor of All Might from one of Omega’s favorite anime shows, My Hero Academia, as well as music from the show, all of which was something Omega had wanted to do for a long time.
during a recent interviewCrunchy RollOmega revealed that he hasn’t always felt 100% since returning from a bout with diverticulitis and wanted to include his best feeling he’s felt in years when he faced Will Ospreay at Wembley Stadium and even made his entrance. It wasn’t until he re-watched My Hero Academia that he realized what he had really been through his whole life. the ideas started to flow from there.
“All Might got that horrible stomach injury,” Omega said. “Since then, his powers are decreasing and decreasing, and because he can’t absorb nutrients and get and get, or can’t absorb nutrients and maintain his energy, the time to use his powers becomes smaller and smaller. “Man, if there’s ever going to be a full-scale battle,” and that’s what I thought because I’d finished watching the last season of My Hero Academia, I said.

After his loss to Will Osprey, Kenny Omega took to social media not just to thank CrunchyRoll, Kenta Miyake, and My Hero Academia itself for putting together his entrance and ring gear. However, he also had one message for Osprey that he could all say. “Now it’s up to you, Will.”
Omega was asked about this post and why he said it, with Omega simply stating that he wanted everyone to experience Will Ospreay as AEW World Champion as much as possible, while also wanting to tie it back to My Hero Academia even in a loss.
“We had a little conversation and I actually said to him, getting smaller and smaller and I always feel people’s expectations and they deserve the best show in town, they really do, if we have a champion that can beat me, if we have someone that the fans are rooting for, rooting for him, that’s something special.
Omega admitted that he can’t work the schedule that Ospreay can, even noting that Ospreay wrestled at a RevPro event at All In London the night before. He finished by saying that he doesn’t know if losing at All In London is a torch moment, but what Omega does know is that he’s glad he lost the AEW World Championship and he’s happy with who he lost to.
