It September 30 episode of AEW Dynamite saw the All Elite Wrestling roster, its staff and its fans come together to mourn the passing of Benjamin “PAC” Satterlee, who died on September 27th at the age of 40.
Almost everything about the Will Osprey-Ricochet non-match show was announced hours before airtime, including: The Elite reunite for the first time since 2023complete with Kenny Omega making his first appearance on AEW TV since AEW All In London 2026. About the latest release «Wrestling Observer RadioDave Meltzer detailed that Omega and others made special arrangements to be on Dynamite. “He flew in from Japan for this, he wasn’t meant for this show,” Meltzer said. “The whole show was changed, and I knew it would be, but whatever was planned, everything basically got pushed out.”
Brian Alvarez also stated that things scheduled for “Dynamite” were changed or adjusted so that some people who wanted to be on the show could appear. One of those people was Mercedes Monae, who was medically cleared to perform on All Out four days earlier, but Meltzer noted that Monae absolutely wanted to be on the show. “Mercedes wanted to work on the show because of her love for PAC.”
The other one There were two surprises in the main event. Wardlow returned after a year out with an injury that was teased on All Out, but his return date was not announced at the time. He reunited with the Don Callis family to take on the Death Riders and a returning Brian Danielson, who only came out of retirement for one night after initially appearing earlier in the night to make up with John Moxley.
