Juventus equalized in the 92nd minute to rescue a point in their Serie A clash with their rivals Milan in Turin
Substitute Federico Gatti headed in a late equalizer after teenager Alphadjo Cisse had come off the bench to break the deadlock for Milan.
The result preserves the unbeaten starts to the season for both teams, who have won two each in their first two league games.
Very contested first half
In what was a fairly quiet first quarter of an hour, Nicolas Gonzalez stung the gloves of Mike Maignan with a ferocious drive from 30 yards.
The Milan keeper returned to action in the 25th minute, making a fine save from Francisco Conceicao after a cross from the right.
The ball was stopped in the path of Manuel Locatelli but the Juve captain could not get a clean contact on the rebound.
Conceicao went close again before the break but Maignan equalized again as both teams went into the break goalless.
The teenager puts Milan ahead
After the restart, Juve went back in search of the first goal, and came within inches of finding it when Conceicao went clear but the winger’s shot crashed against the post.
There was then a flurry of changes from both benches, and the injection of fresh legs soon paid off for the visitors.
In the 68th minute, teenager Cisse, who had introduced just over five minutes earlier, collected a cross from Samuel Chukwueze before cutting inside and guiding a shot that stayed in the far corner.
Juve equalized in the end
It was Milan’s first shot on goal in the match. Juventus were stunned. Newcastle loanee Nick Woltemade was called up for his first Juventus appearance in a bid to salvage something from the tie.
The Magpies’ record signing was grabbed in a late effort that saw the ball sail harmlessly by as The Old Lady piled on the pressure in the closing stages.
And the pressure finally paid off in stoppage-time when Juve substitute Gatti headed past Maignan and sent the home crowd into raptures.
