Dan Campbell was not happy with the way the first half ended. The Lions coach will be less than thrilled with the way the second half started.
The Lions, who came in with just one shot, had two turnovers in the final 1:07 of the game, and center Cade Mays was responsible for both. Mays ran against Jahmyr Gibbs and knocked the ball down with 19 seconds left in the first half and the Lions on the edge of the end zone. On the second play from scrimmage in the second half, Mays had a fast break.
Linebacker Isaiah McDuffie recovered both.
McDuffie’s second fumble set up Josh Jacobs’ 25-yard catch-and-run into the end zone. Jacobs, who is making his debut in 2026 after returning from paid leave, scored the advantage.
His touchdown put the Packers up 14-10 with 12:14 left in the third quarter.
Jacobs has six carries for 12 yards and three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown.
