John Cena has dedicated most of his life to succeeding in WWE and the world of professional wrestling and has admitted that he misses being in the ring.
Cena, even before his retirement, had periods where he was absent due to his acting commitments in WWE and had frequently expressed his desire to wrestle again. Despite all that he has accomplished in WWE, Cena continues to look back fondly on his time in the wrestling ring.
“I miss it all every day. I miss performing every day. And that, just because I’m missing here (in my heart), it doesn’t make it the right decision here (in my head),” Cena said.People“.
The 17-time world champion said he often looks back vividly to his early wrestling years, especially when he’s in a stressful situation.
“I have moments of nostalgic reflection every day. Many times this happens when you are overwhelmed with stress or confused, or maybe you don’t know the answers you are trying to find. Nostalgia itself is a throwback to simpler times in times of obscurity or crisis,” added the legendary WWE star. “I get moments everyday, man. Every day. I’ll look back to my early wrestling days, or I’ll look back to my college days, or I’ll look back to my dorm life, or even as a kid. It happens every day, man.”
Cena has been open about his love of pro wrestling, commenting earlier this year that he preferred WWE and pro wrestling to acting, but had to to retire from wrestling because he couldn’t do it anymore. “The Peacemaker” star misses performing in front of an audiencebut now enjoying life after retirement on the other side, as a fan of the business he grew up loving.
