In a news conference before the Bengals practiced Wednesday, coach Zay Taylor said he wasn’t sure how much quarterback Joe Burrow would be able to do in practice.
As it turns out, Taylor was either overly concerned about Burrow’s health or trying to make plays. Videos from the open portion of practice showed Burrow working without any restrictions, and the team did not list him on the injury report at all. That suggests he’s full speed ahead for this Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
Burrow was listed as questionable in Week 2 with a back injury and could be heard telling teammates during the game that a hit by Texans defensive end Will Anderson popped his rib.
Defensive tackles Jonathan Allen (knee) and BJ Hill (Achilles) were both out of practice. Wide receiver Andrei Iosivas (thumb) also missed practice and will miss at least four games after being placed on injured reserve.
