Jason Hotch defeated Mustafa Ali in a Two Out of Three Falls match to retain the International Championship in the main event of TNA Impact.
Ali went on to score by picking up a first down. He looked to press that lead, but Hotch came back at him to send him to the outside once more, following the crest. He brought Ali back into the ring and went to the top rope for a double stomp, but Ali rolled out of the ring again. Hotch gave chase and performed a moon attack to take him to the floor, slamming his face into the apron several times.
Ali crawled to the International Title belt, followed by Hotch again to prompt his challenger to turn around and hit him with the belt. That triggered a disqualification to tie up Hotch’s fall.
Ali rolled Hotch back into the ring and went for the pinfall for the win, but Hotch kicked out. Ali tried twice more to no avail and began arguing the count with the referee. Hotch ran back at Ali, but was sent to the referee instead, allowing Ali to land a low blow before ripping off Hotch’s belt and hitting him with it.
Hotch was still able to fight back in the contest, beating Ali back with the belt before returning to the ring and eventually hitting the GTH for the pinfall victory.
Hotch emerged victorious in the Class Four Quad for the title at Bound For Glory, pinning Ali to begin his second reign as International Champion. He previously held the title after dethroning Ali in June, only to lose it back to him at Lockdown in August. They won a two-way match between TNA and Warrior Wrestling before Thursday’s Two Out of Three Falls match.
