Even though she failed to capture the WWE NXT Women’s Championship last week, Jaida Parker is still showing strong in her rivalry with industry veteran Natalya (AKA Nattie). The two first met in singles last June, with Natty winning the first match before Parker won in July and August. Talking to Bully Ray “Opened after dark” Parker talked about his experience working with Natty.
“Nettie took it out of me, she took the dog out of me,” Parker said. “I was climbing. Yes, like you said, I took a few L’s and that’s normal, it’s part of life. But when you come at me when I’m already down and try to hit me lower, yeah, you’re triggering something in me.”
time Last month at WWE NXT Heatwave, Parker introduced Natty with his own finishing move, Sharpshooter. The NXT star noted that she felt like she had to do it and recalled that feeling was incredibly satisfying.
“(Nattie) tried to prove a point to me, I hit (her) Sharpshooter,” he continued. “(It) made me tap into what I knew Jayda Parker already had at the end of the day. Nothing, I just needed a little spark.
He then clarified that he brought out the Sharpshooter to prove a point that he can go toe-to-toe with Natty. Despite, or perhaps because of, the battles they went through, Parker stated that he had a lot of respect for Natty.
Natty previously confirmed that he asked to stay in NXT specifically to work with Parker. and that request was granted. After the loss at Heatwave, Nattie appeared in AAA and participated in a four-way match to determine the number one contender for Reyna de Reynas’ title, although she came up short.
