WWE star Jade Cargill’s finisher, Jaded, dates back to her time in AEW. However, the move was always a clear homage to Beth Phoenix’s Glam Slam, which the WWE talent talked about in an interview. Atlanta United FC’s “The Guuuzan Show”.
“I didn’t know what I was going to do,” he recalled, adding that former AEW wrestler Ivellis brainstormed with him on his finisher, urging him to come up with a move that would not only be terrifying, but also put his opponents on camera where they could visibly react to the move. “Beth Phoenix is an amazing woman. And I would see him being a powerhouse when he goes out there. I was saying: “Oh, I want to become just that kind of power!”
Cargill then announced that no one has ever been eliminated from a Glam Slam, although Phoenix’s former partner Natty (Natalia Neidhart) did at some point. Cargill then suggested that as terrible as the move was, he expected it to receive the same treatment under him. “I wanted to do something that was different and I wanted to do something that showed fear and I wanted to put my opponent’s face on the screen and everybody could see that I was going to get this win.” he expressed.
After making his in-ring debut with AEW in 2021, Cargill spent several years with the company before leaving and signing with WWE. Since then, he has become a multiple champion, with Along with Bianca Beller, she holds two tag titles to her name, as well as a run with the WWE Women’s Championship.
