Jacobe Smith credits an improvement in his striking and wrestling understanding before facing Randy Brown
Speaking at UFC media day, Smith said he’s happy with his progress but acknowledges areas that need more work.
“I know I could get a lot better,” Smith said. “I know there are places where I know I wanted to polish up a little bit more. But I’m happy with where I’m at right now because I’ve improved a lot in my hitting.”
Smith also said he has gained a deeper understanding of wrestling techniques that he paid less attention to during his college career.
“And even in my wrestling, even though I’m not competing in the collegiate wrestling room, I’m starting to understand things that work that I didn’t really study when I was competing in wrestling,” he continued.
He admitted that his approach to learning and tackling challenges helped him improve.
“So, I take everything as it comes and I deal with it professionally and it takes me to another level,” he said.
“I’d be damned if I let anyone take anything away from me.” Jacob Smith tries to keep his momentum rolling and dominate when he’s ready to face off Randy Brown. #UFCVegas123 Fight by Fight preview ➡️: https://t.co/XZGqrmLYHh https://t.co/R6ndCO3pSa
