The campaign hopes to break the £170 bottleneck 1st place contender against Carlos Prates (24-7). 3rd place welterweight Michael Morales (19-0) in UFC 336 main event on Saturday, January 30, 2027 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
“I think it’s a great fight,” Della Maddalena said Bedtime MMA (transcribed by Farah Hannoun). “I think it’s good for the division. I think Prates is next in line, so I think it’s a good fight. It cleans up the division, it shows who the No. 1 contender is, and it’s good timing. I don’t think Islam is likely to fight until next June, so it’s just going to slow it down. It’s good. I feel like it’s an incredible fight, who’s going to win. There are more tools to win, but Morales is a different type of big and powerful man, so I think it’s going to be an interesting fight.
