The Detroit Lions are locked in an NFC North battle with the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.
And now the Lions are worried about one of their defensive heroes as well.
Linebacker Jack Campbell was carted off the Ford Field playing field after a scary scene late in the second half. Campbell was involved in a tackle early in the fourth quarter and after a collision, he collapsed on the field at Ford Field and lay motionless on the field as trainers rushed to him.
A clip of the game is attached here. And you can see Campbell and his teammates from quarterback Kyler Murray to tight end TJ Hocksonson.
The crowd at Ford Field fell silent, and several players knelt around Campbell with the emotion on their faces.
Campbell was stabilized on a stretcher before leaving the field, and Detroit players came to wish him well before he left the field.
