I’ve tried more than half a dozen different models and performance has varied across the board. The best so far is probably the Antigravity while the worst must be Ascension PNWProof.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: TRUE makes the best golf shoes for the golfer looking for a shoe they can wear to the course, to the bar afterward, or to a movie with friends. They are not the best golf shoes in the world, but for a specific golfer, they are perfect.
Next on the list is the TRUE Original 1.2highlighted by a toe box that is wider than the Grand Canyon, better traction than the average TRUE shoe and solid waterproofing capabilities.
Are they worth buying or is it better to choose another pair from the line?
Pros
If you compare traction to the entire industry, it is below average. But it’s better than the typical TRUE shoe.
In fact, outside of the Antigravity and its flagship models, the Original 1.2 It might be the next best thing in terms of grip on the course. If traction has been your problem with other patterns TRUEThe Original 1.2 may be worth a try.
The model itself consists of rubberized lugs of various shapes and sizes that are slightly larger than those found in other TRUE traction models. They still haven’t figured out the traction model, but maybe one day they’ll take a hint from my articles and make a shoe that has industry leading traction.
TRUE operates in the Pacific Northwest, so you better hope it’s waterproofed properly. U Original 1.2 it features great waterproofing and includes a two-year warranty. If you play a lot of golf in wet conditions, the Original 1.2 is a good choice.
Comfort on the golf course is fine (see the Cons section below for both sides of the coin) but it’s worth a try if you’re a fan of zero-drop golf shoes. The goal of zero-drop shoes is to create a more natural walking experience by keeping the heel and forefoot level. If zero-drop is your thing, you will like the comfort on the course that the Original 1.2 offers.

While comfort is average on the tee box, fairway and green, it is severely diminished when walking on harder terrains which you attribute to its firm, zero-drop construction.
One of the redeeming factors of other patterns TRUE it was the notion that you can carry on the course and off the course. This is not the case with the Original 1.2 as I encountered much more pain off the course. Also, expect some pain when walking on driveways, parking lots, and rocky terrain.
Aesthetically, the toe box can look unpleasant. It’s really, really wide. If you have super-wide feet, it may be worth it, but if not, I choose another pattern TRUE. My pair fits fine, but many online reviews say that Original 1.2 it runs smaller than expected and we recommend ordering a half size larger than you normally wear.
If shoes that fit perfectly are a priority for you, avoid them Original 1.2 in all. I’m not saying they’re bad for you, but it’s not worth the risk.
