September 4: Baidu-owned Chinese streaming service iQIYI has agreed a new four-year deal for broadcast rights to UEFA men’s club competitions in China.
The subscription service is a broadcast partner of UEFA for club rights from 2024 in China (excluding Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan). The new agreement will apply during the 2027-31 cycle.

Previous offers have been renewed annually. The longest rights cycle was agreed after a competitive bidding process and is estimated to be worth around $10 million per year.
The partnership was branded by UC3 and was developed by Relevent Football Partners, UC3’s global sales and marketing agency for UEFA men’s club competitions.
iQIYI also holds the rights to the European Championship as well as the AFC Asian Cup. The club’s other rights include the Premier League and La Liga.
