Indy Hartwell’s dream of winning the TNA Knockouts World Championship came true.
On that occasion, Hartwell challenged Sia Brookside for the World Knockouts Championship bound for glory, TNA Hall of Famer Mickie James serves as special guest referee. Hartwell blasted a bulldog to Brookside, only to be dragged to the floor outside. He quickly regained control, pinning the reigning champion at ringside.
Back in there, Brookside fired back with a series of jabs and a crafty dropkick. James noticed and then removed the pad. That didn’t stop Brookside though, as he hit Hartwell with a back elbow and knees in another corner. Hartwell eventually regained control by avoiding a pair of knees coming at him, then dropped Brookside with a spinebuster and a powerbomb for a pair of nearfalls.
The closing moments saw Brookside and James brawl in the center of the ring. It got physical as Brookside shoved and slapped James, only to receive a right hand to the face in return. After recovering from the hit, Brookside threw Hartwell into an exposed steel turnbuckle and then hit him with a DDT. Hartwell took out Brookside next, setting the stage for an elbow drop and a Hurts Donut to follow for the title win.
