Michael Morales accepts Ian Garry’s Nov. 28 proposal for a UFC fight in Saudi Arabia
Morales shared a screenshot of his DMs with Garry where they agree to fight in November. The latter initially questioned the former’s availability claims, speculating that he would avoid the meeting.
“I want to fight before the end of the year and I’m told you’re not available,” Garry wrote. “You were able to be the quarterback for the world championship, but you couldn’t fight me now? You’ve also asked to be the quarterback for the next title fight, but you’re still not available to fight me? Looks like someone’s avoiding me. Talk online and not agree to fight? What’s going on here?”
Morales responded by making his position clear:
“My son, what are you talking about? I’ll fight whenever you want, I just want a contract and that’s it, I’ll kick your *ss.”
Garry replied:
“Saudi, November 28. Let’s do it.”
Morales agreed, but it remains to be seen if the UFC will put the game together. Carlos Prates widely considered to be the next challenger to Makhachov’s title, thus Garry vs. Morales is a pivotal title eliminator.
