Three days later signing him to an Exhibition 10 contract, art Hornets have officially waived guard/forward Kobe Stewartthe team announced in a press release (Link to Twitter).
Stewart went undrafted in 2025 after five seasons at Presbyterian College. As a “super-senior” with the Blue Hose in the 2024/25 season, he averaged 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 33 games (33.2 minutes per contest) with a shooting percentage of .479/.352/.792.
The 24-year-old spent his first professional season playing in the G League, where he played a total of 46 games for the Austin Spurs, Memphis Hustle and Wisconsin Herd. The 6’6″ swingman averaged 7.7 PPG, 3.2 RPG and 1.3 APG in 20.0 MPG while shooting .455/.308/.767.
In July, Stewart suited up for the Bucks at the California Classic and the Las Vegas Summer League, playing in six games and averaging 4.8 ppg and 2.5 rpg in 12.8 mpg.
By signing Stewart to an Amendment 10 agreement and waiving him before the season, the Hornets can guarantee he will earn up to $91,000 on top of his regular G League base salary if he spends at least 60 days with the Greensboro Swarm, Charlotte’s affiliate. At some point, Roy will have to acquire Stewart’s rights from the Herd via a trade in order for him to earn his Addendum 10 bonus.
Charlotte currently has 20 players under contract, one shy of the offseason limit.
