HNS lands Croatia Airlines renewal

October 7 – The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and Croatia Airlines have extended their cooperation for another two years, maintaining the airline’s status as the official carrier of HNS and the Croatian national football team.

The agreement was signed in Split by Jasmin Bajić, CEO of Croatia Airlines, and Marijan Kustić, President of HNS, confirming the continuation of a partnership that began in 2018.

The official collaboration began after the national team’s return from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, when the Vatreni returned home to Zagreb with their silver medals on a special Croatia Airlines flight. Their first formal trade agreement was signed in September 2018 and has been continuously expanded since then.
Bajić noted that the tradition of flying Croatia’s national team dates back to 1998, when Croatia Airlines flew the team from France with its first World Cup bronze medal.

“Behind this partnership between Croatia Airlines and the Croatian national football team are moments that Croatian sport will remember for a long time. As the national airline, it is natural for us to stand by the national team and accompany them wherever they represent our country. We are especially pleased to continue this story for two more years, now with our renewed fleet of new Airbus A220s. This will once again give reason for a great celebration,” said Bajić.

Kustić emphasized the international importance of the ongoing alliance.

“Croatia Airlines and the Croatian Football Federation represent Croatia far beyond our borders, so we are particularly pleased to continue this natural and successful partnership. During their travels around Europe and the world, the Croatian team enjoys great support from our national airline, which provides us with safety, reliability and first-class service,” said Kustić.
With the renewed contract, Croatia Airlines will continue to support all official travel of the national team for the next two years.
