Tony Ferguson returned to the boxing ring to face each other earlier tonight (Saturday, September 26, 2026). Mahmoud Sebie for the promotion’s middleweight title. This was Ferguson’s first attempt to defend the belt since winning it in August 2025, defeating Salt Papi via third round TKO (see it again here).
And again, “El Cucuy” won, stopping Sebie by technical knockout (TKO) in the second round to improve to 3-0 as a boxer while retaining his title.
Sebie didn’t have much to offer Ferguson on the jump. His punches were weak and not well put together at all. Ferguson, meanwhile, was the more active fighter of the two and knocked him down after he – for whatever reason – put his hands down and just let Ferguson go to town on him.
In the second round, the former UFC interim lightweight titleholder put his foot on the gas and threw punches at Sebie. As he backed into the corner, Sebie became nothing more than a punching bag again and Ferguson just started crying freely.
Despite Ferguson’s punches not having a ton of heat behind them, they landed consistently. Ferguson worked the body, went upstairs, and finally the referee on duty had seen enough to end the fight just 30 seconds into the second round.

Ferguson has really found a place on the impact boxing scene since leaving the UFC in 2024 after losing eight straight fights. As for what could be next for him, there are currently no fights confirmed for him, but it is more than likely that he will book another title defense under the Misfits banner, perhaps Austin McBroomwho called him out after the fight.
