England star Henry Pollock would consider playing overseas or changing sports entirely as part of an open approach to his career.
Pollock’s focus remains rugby and he is in advanced stages of negotiations over a new contract with Gallagher Prem champions Northampton.
However, the 21-year-old is also looking to expand his horizons by signing with Eddie Hearn’s talent agency.
“I definitely want to go live in different countries, explore new sports, explore new paths,” Pollock told reporters.
“Eddie and the Matchroom team are constantly texting me, calling me about different avenues and they’ve been great about that sort of thing. I’m not going to turn down an opportunity.”
“Rugby is my main priority at the moment so that’s what I’m focusing on in the near future, but like I said, you never know what’s around the corner.”
Hearn said Northampton in August that Pollock is “certainly a seven-figure player” because of the commercial power he brings and Lions the flanker estimated his stride at £1 million plus.
“I don’t see it as pressure,” he said. “I see it when he’s doing his job. He’s the best sports promoter in the world. The reason he’s the best is because he gets his client what he deserves.
“Eddie has been great for me and given me so many opportunities to come in. The way he can give me access to so many different things is amazing.”
“I have no bad words to say about him. The sport of rugby has to change and hopefully this will be the change.”
