The Hawks contributed Peter Dinwiddie executive vice president of basketball operations, the team announced today in a press release. Dinwiddie’s previous position was senior vice president of strategy and analytics.
Dinwiddie was hired by Atlanta. in June 2025 together with Bryson Graham. Graham has since left the organization to become head of basketball in Chicago, leaving Dinwiddie as the team’s No. 2 executive. Onsi Salehwhich was elevated from general manager to president of basketball operations earlier this offseason.
Dinwiddie was with the 76ers for five years and the Pacers for 14 seasons before joining the Hawks a year ago. He was the executive vice president of basketball operations in Philadelphia.
The Hawks also announced this in a press release today Maxwell Kupchak – the son of the former head of basketball operations of the Lakers and Hershnets. Mitch Kupchak – was promoted from Capitalization Strategy and Player Personnel Coordinator to Director of Capitalization Strategy and Player Personnel.
Also, Atlanta confirmed recruitment was previously announced former ESPN reporter Tim Bontemp as a strategic advisor.
