The center where James Lang is back Harlequins for the second time in his career after being released by Edinburgh.
Lang, 31, has spent the past five years north of the Border, making 90 appearances for the main club.
Severe ankle injury in the Champions Cup round of 16 loss to Leinster he ended his involvement last season in what proved to be his last game for the club.
A product of the Harlequins academy, Lang had a spell playing in the North Wales before returning to London, where he spent five seasons in the quarters.
From 2016 to 2021, he made 120 first-team appearances for Harlequins, scoring 214 points and was a member of the team that lifted the PREM trophy for a second time in 2021.
During his time at the Twickenham Stoop, Lang played six times against Scotland.
Head coach, Jason Gilmore, said: “James knows this club inside out, and it was clear from the first day he walked into the building how much he still loves being here.
“He has trained well over the last few weeks and has settled straight back into the fold. He brings composure, rugby IQ and real experience to the midfield and we are excited to have him back as part of the squad for 2026/27.”
Lang’s signing completes the Harlequins squad for the 2026/27 season, with the former RGC 1404 player facing stiff competition from the likes of Oscar Beard, Luke Northmore, Bryn Bradley, Sean Kerr and Ben Waghorn.
“Coming back to Harlequins is like coming home. This club has shaped me as a player and as a person, and being back on the training pitch these last few weeks has reminded me why,” said Lang.
“There’s a new feel to the environment and excitement in the squad in terms of the performance levels we can achieve this season. I can’t wait to pull the shirt back on and run out to The Stoop with the lads.”
