The AEW World Trios Championship will be contested in a Texas Death match at AEW Full Gear 2026. After Swerve Strickland challenged the champions “The Hangman” Adam Page, Brody King and The Bandido a few weeks ago, the babyfaces took on Wednesday’s “AEW Dynamite: Blood & Gut:s”.
Paige tried everything she could over the past few weeks to prevent the match from happening by entering the battle with Strickland before Texas diedbut last week Strickland kidnapped Bandido and leaving him unmasked and bloodied backstage before his teammates could reach him.
This week, Bandido attacked Kofi backstage, leading to a wild onstage brawl with Strickland. Austin Creed interfered and speared Bandido before King and Page came out to join the fight.
The Hangman tried to talk Bandido and King out of accepting Texas’ death sentence one last time, but Bandido told him it wasn’t just about him anymore. King nodded simply and Paige finally agreed to the condition. Strickland and Creed were seen smiling at ringside before the end of the segment.
