For the second year in a row, Jack Willis was named the Top 14 Player of the season, awarded by the LNR at the 22nd La Nuit du Rugby.
At the same time, England the international tied with Antoine Dupont in winning the award in back-to-back seasons.
Willis was again instrumental in Stade Toulouse’s title challenge, scoring six tries, beating 19 Jackals and making 173 tackles during the season. He also produced a number of outstanding performances, including a man-of-the-match display in the final win over Montpellier.
After helping Stade Toulouse win their 25th Bouclier de Brennus, the 29-year-old former Wasps the back rower was nominated for the player of the season award along with Matthieu Jalibert of Union Bordeaux-Bègles and Harry Plumer of ASM Clermont.
The only other English player to win the award is Zach Mercer, who took the honor in 2022 after a sensational season with Montpellier.
However, Willis was far from the only winner on the night, with 12 additional awards handed out at the event, which was co-hosted by Canal+.
Section Paloise’s prodigious talent Fabien Brau-Boirie won the Player of the Season award, beating fellow Les Bleus Calvin Gourgues and Montpellier’s Auguste Cadot.
Another award went to Section Paloise as Émilien Gailleton’s spectacular finish against Aviron Bayonnais in round 21 was named try of the season.
In ProD2, Flying Fijian Setareki Bituniyata was voted player of the season, after helping Provence qualify for the finals.
Louis Bielle-Biarrey was named Les Bleus player of the season as the lightning-quick player was critical for France Six Nations victory, scoring nine tries in the campaign.
On the women’s side, ASM Romagnata hottie Mathilde Lazaro won the AXA Élite 1 Player of the Year award after an outstanding campaign that saw her side finish as runners-up. Lazark’s teammate Élodie Fernandez and Stade Bordelais’ Carla Arbez were the other nominees.
France’s No.8 Lea Champon took home the France Player of the Year award, a well-deserved honor after a year in which she netted Les Bleues three times and produced several sensational performances in both Women’s 2025 competitions. Rugby World Cup and the Six Nations.
For coach of the year Montpellier and RC Valves were the winners. Joan Caudullo’s staff led Montpellier to the EPCR Challenge Cup glory and advanced to the Top 14 final, where they lost to Stade Toulouse 28-20. Vannes won the ProD2 for the second time in three years, with Jean-Noël Spitzer leading a side that conceded just six defeats in 32 games.
Luc Ramos, who refereed last season’s Top14 final, was named match official of the year.
The Extenso Supersevens Player of the Year awards went to UBB star Marcos Moneta in the men’s category and AC Bobigny’s Hawa Tounkari in the women’s category, with both players recognized for their outstanding performances throughout the season.
Race 92 has also been recognized for its commitment to social inclusion, with its ‘Adapted Rugby Team Fully Integrated into the Club’ initiative (Adapted Rugby) winning the Social Equality Trophy.
