There’s no love lost between UFC CEO Dana White and the heavyweight linebacker Francis Ngannou.
As for ‘impossible to work’ Ngannou? He doesn’t buy White’s disinterest or “bad guy” claims. Responding to White’s recent comments on social media, Ngannou wondered why he was forced to jump through so many hoops and spend so much money seeking his freedom if he was such a difficult and unpleasant fighter?
Ngannou responded: “Telling (sic) the man that I spent over three years in law firms and a lot of money building an escape plan to get away from and at the same time he did everything in his power to make sure I was never free. You have to accept this loss; it’s irreversible.”
At 40, it’s unclear how much longer Ngannou will fight. Now that MVP is a growing presence in MMA, he will likely have more major paydays available in the future. Of course, his big fight bag could be the MVP of MMA Bankruptcy or to help build a UFC rival that never really materialized in the US
