Wyatt patients probably were One of the most unique factions WWE has ever seen in modern history, with Bo Dallas, brother of the late Bray Wyatt, leading the band to honor Wyatt’s portrayal of his Uncle Howdy. Dexter Loomis, Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross and Erick Rowan worked together portray various characters that Wyatt created in his Firefly Funhouse universe, including Gacy as Hooskus the Piggy Boy.
Gacy spoke with Denise Salcedo about the beginning of the group. He said he knew months ago when something started to move with the group and heard rumblings when Wyatt was still alive and working for WWE NXT. Gacy had no idea he was being considered until he got a call from the creators.
“I was saying: “Oh wow! OK,” he said. “I was confused that I was even being considered, but part of me was like, this business is what it is, I’ll believe it when I see it.” I was trying to keep my expectations low, not fully expecting this to happen. Because I knew what that meant. I knew it wasn’t just part of this legacy group, but it was a major roster call for me. So it’s like two big things, which again I’ve been trying not to get too excited about because things are changing every minute.”
Gacy said he then didn’t hear anything for months until everyone in the band got in touch. There was a meeting at WWE headquarters and he said that’s when things really started moving.
How the group was formed
Gacy said “Wyatt Sicks” was introduced to the band a little differently during a meeting at headquarters. He thought it was never really televised in its entirety, but the idea centered around it The traumatic event of losing Dallas’ brother. The loss led to him dealing with split personality disorder, hence the Uncle Howdy character.
“The idea was that Bo Dallas, being a little out of his mind, convinced these other groups of people who were kind of lost in the mix or maybe also going through their traumas to join him,” Gacy explained. “Then through his split personality we would develop these, for lack of a better term, puppet characters to accept ourselves. The idea, as it was always explained to us, would be something like this.
Gacy said he believed they could make really cool videos with this concept, but they never got the chance. He said the group was never meant to be overtly “cultured” because the idea was also that they were a tight-knit family. She said that they really became such a family in real life and they are still close to this day.
“We all hit it off right away,” he said. “I think we all came together really seamlessly… We all had the same vision, and we were all kind of going into a TV taping with the same goals. That aspect was really easy and great. Everyone was amazing to work with.
