Earlier on Monday, former WWE star Enzo Amore broke the news thanks to interview between him and former WWE star Maven. In the interview, Amore could be seen criticizing AEW, specifically regarding backstage incidents and allowing them to come to light, which Amore felt WWE handled better. But according to Amor, those comments are a bit outdated and exploited by Maven. Going to X on Monday afternoonAmore called out Maven, claiming that the two had been talking for over a year and that Maven had released the interview to gain attention following the death of AEW star PAC. Amore’s rival and good friend from their time in WWE.
“I spoke with Maven in March 2025,” Amor wrote on Twitter. “He was waiting to get out of a nice tribute show for the PAC to publish the interview. I thought the tribute show was an absolute class. To all who paid tribute, thank you for honoring Ben.
There is evidence to suggest that Amor is telling the truth because Last week’s appearance from Amor on No Contest Wrestling A podcast talking about the PAC showed the former WWE star with a long black beard. Meanwhile, Amor’s interview with Maven shows him sporting a smaller beard, indicating that the interview was taped in the past.
As of this writing, Maven has yet to comment on Amore’s allegations. The first-time winner of WWE Tough Enough has become a newsworthy figure in wrestling news over the past few years thanks to his YouTube channel, where he discusses his wrestling career and aspects of WWE and AEW.
