ancient Tottenham Midfielder Yves Bissouma is set to join Ajax on a deal that will run until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since being released by Spurs in June, but will now return to football in the Netherlands.
Bissouma has agreed an initial contract until the end of the campaign, with the option to extend it for another 12 months.
Bissouma joined Tottenham from Brighton in 2022 and made 111 appearances for the north London club.
However, his time at Spurs was marred by disciplinary problems and inconsistent participation under various managers.
In August 2025, then head coach Thomas Frank left him out of the squad for the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain due to persistent lateness.
Bissouma made just 11 appearances during his final season with Tottenham, all of which came in the Premier League.
Ajax offers a new opportunity
Bissouma will now look to rebuild his career with Ajax and bring experience to the midfield for the Eredivisie.
His final season at Tottenham ended with the club finishing 17th in the Premier League for the second successive campaign.
The move to Ajax offers Bissouma the chance to secure regular football and rekindle his career in a new league.
The proposed 12-month extension option could allow him to remain in Amsterdam beyond the current season if the move is successful.
