Ex Nuggets forward Hunter Tyson concluded a contractual agreement with the Italian Maxima Roma, Sporty relays through the Superbasket.
Tyson was the odd man out in early February salary loss like the Nuggets was given to him to Networks to evade the luxury tax. He never played for the Nets, who picked up a future second-round pick in the trade and quickly waived him.
Tyson was selected 37th overall in the 2023 draft, but never became a trusted piece Michael Malone or by David Adelman rotation. The 6-foot-8 forward played in 90 regular-season games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game while shooting 34.9% from the field.
Last season, he played in 21 games (two starts) and averaged 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per game. In early January, he scored a season-high 14 points in 19 minutes in an overtime win over Philadelphia.
Tyson finished last season in Puerto Rico, signing with Gigantes de Carolina of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional. He played in 16 games, averaging 18 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
