Hansi Flick praised the collective mentality of his Barcelona side, insisting they are “really enjoying” life in the dugout as the Blaugrana continued their flawless start to the season with a Beating Feyenoord 5-1.
The German manager has made it five consecutive wins in all competitions to open the 2026-27 campaign, with Barça already scoring 21 goals in that period.
After the last one Champions League defeated at the Camp Nou, Flick did not hide his happiness at the speed with which his squad has adopted his intense tactical plan.

“I’m so happy that all I can talk about is enjoying myself,” said Flick. “I am the coach of Barça and I am really happy to be here.
“In our first five games we have done very well. We have scored many goals, but for me the most important thing is that we play as a team, as a unit. We dominate and control the games. This is the style we want to play, we want our fans to enjoy our football, and now they are enjoying it a lot.”
Barca set the tone within three minutes when captain Raphinha dodged two defenders in the box to score his seventh goal of the campaign.
Summer arrival Karim Adeyemi, coming into Anthony Gordon’s starting line-up, quickly doubled the lead with a sensational 20-yard curler into the corner. Raphinha grabbed his second after the interval thanks to a through ball from Pedri, before Lamine Yamal’s free-kick went over the Feyenoord wall.
Deadline day signing Gabriel Jesus completed the five-star display and netted his first goal for the club just two minutes after coming off the bench.

The team’s high-pressing style and seamless rotation drew special praise from Flick, who noted the relentless work ethic that runs through the team.
“The mentality of this team is incredible,” added Flick. “We’ve controlled games and dominated possession at a very high level. We’re training very hard and it’s very demanding, but everyone has that hunger to improve and be better.
“For our philosophy, intensity is everything. When we lose the ball, the distances between our players are short, which allows us to counter-press immediately. What I like most is to see everyone engaged both in attack and defense.”
