October 15 – The Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Association (FHSF) has approved the “FIFA Arena” project, an initiative that aims to develop sports infrastructure and create more spaces for children’s and youth football in Albania.
The project will be implemented in cooperation between the Albanian Football Association, FIFA and the relevant municipalities, with the aim of creating suitable environments where children and young people have more opportunities to play football and develop their sports skills.
Within the framework of the project, three locations have been identified for the construction of new football fields: the schools “Dora d’Istria” and “Vasil Shanto” in Tirana, as well as the Recreational Park in the city of Kavaja.
Based on the cooperation model, the respective municipalities will be responsible for preparing the base of the fields, while the Albanian Football Association, through the “FIFA Arena” project, will allow the placement of artificial grass, the installation of the fencing system and the installation of football gates, in collaboration with FIFA.
Through the “FIFA Arena” project, the Albanian Football Association continues its commitment to develop grassroots football and create better conditions for the younger generations, strengthening cooperation with local institutions and FIFA to bring football closer to communities.
